West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner has recently launched his draft Rural Crime Strategy for consultation.

The strategy sets out how the Commissioner will:

  • Improve confidence that rural communities have in the police.
  • Ensure the financial resources he has committed to rural crime, provide a dedicated team within each policing area.
  • Ensure victims of crime in rural areas receive the support they need, and are not disadvantaged by their location.

Save the date - 28 November at 4-7pm - Protect Your Business, Protect Your Staff event

Malvern Hills and Wychavon District Council have arranged a free joint event called "Protect Your Business, Protect Your Staff' which is taking place at Sixways Stadium, Worcester on Thursday 28 November, 4-7pm.

All members of the business community are invited to the marketplace event, where they will have the opportunity to ask any questions and receive advice from key organisations on a number of issues, including:

*           Business Crime
*           Cyber Security
*           Modern Slavery

The audience will also have the chance to ask the experts with our live Q&A session.

Any suspicious vehicles noted in the area, please let the Police know.


Scam Mail.

Royal Mail wishes to raise awareness of scam mail in the community. 

What is it? -  Scam mail is illegal mail, not normal advertising mail that targets the most vulnerable in society.

What to look out for: Scam mail is sent for the sole intention of obtaining money through deception and/or fraud.

You can contact Royal Mail if you are concerned that someone you know is receiving scam mail by:

Writing to Royal Mail at FREEPOST SCAM MAIL enclosing any items that are suspected of being scam mail;

Call the Royal Mail Scam Mail Helpline on 0800 0113 466;
